    Moviebuff

We have seen only a few good films this year like My Name is Khan, Once Upon a time in Mumbai, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge and a couple more here and there. Only Once upon a time in Mumbai came out as a real blockbuster, the rest were declared hit because of no other good movie releasing in the vicinity.

First movie this year that became an instant hit when the trailers started showing up.

We get to see the nonsense and comical act of Salman Khan at its peak in this movie. Two step-brothers one favoured by father and the other by mother creates a natural feeling of rebellion amongst both of them. One becomes the crooked cop who tries to do everything wrong the right way and the other who is a little dumb-founded, wants to marry a girl but is not able to convince his father because his father needs a dowry to bail himself out.

The movie is set up in a small town in Uttar Pradesh which attracts a lot of crime-driven movies of modern day. A local don who tries to play politics within the family in order to maintain his unreasonable status in the small-town.

The movie is for only Salman Khan fans. If you are not, don't bother going in. If this movie would have released 10 years before, it would have been a big flop because the audience then were going through a transition with logical movies, but today the Indian junta seems to have accepted Salman's star-power and applaud at his nonsense dialogues and action scenes.

Its only Salman's star power that pulls this movie off. Whether it be unwilling to accept the way, the chamcha of Chhedi Singh(Sonu Sood) chews tobacco, or be it making holes in Sonu Sood that makes him confused about the place from which he needs to breathe or fart, Salman pulls it off with great style and panache.

The female lead in the movie, Sonakshi Sinha has a very strong screen presence, however her acting skills still need to be honed. There are few scenes where you would not understand whether she is frowning at Salman, feeling sorry or falling for the hero. Anyhow she has very less to do in the movie.

Arbaaz plays the character of a mand-buddhi person very well. Dimple Kapadia and Vinod Khanna also play their parts well.

Irrespective of how the movie fares at the box office this movie will make the Munni very popular, this is for sure.
